Alongside has partnered with Hastings & Co., a law firm with over 100 years of history, to offer a monthly pro-bono legal clinic. This initiative provides public access to legal advice on estate planning and end-of-life matters. Qualified solicitors will answer questions related to wills, probate, trust arrangements, enduring powers of attorney, and guardianship applications. The clinic is especially attentive to the needs of the LGBTQIA+ and broader gender/sexual minority communities.
The service is completely free, with limited spots available. All are welcome to register.

I'm not LGBTQIA+ — can I still join?
Absolutely. The clinic is open to all. Interested individuals may register via WhatsApp 9777 8046 or through the website form. A conflict check will be conducted by the law firm, and all participants must agree to the relevant terms and conditions.
Is the service really free?
Yes, the consultation provided on the clinic day is entirely free. If you choose to engage the law firm for further legal work afterward, those services will be charged separately. Fees will be clearly explained to you by the law firm in advance.
What can I ask during the consultation?
Topics include estate planning for critical or end-of-life health conditions, wills, probate, trust setup in Hong Kong, enduring powers of attorney, and applications under the Mental Health Ordinance. If needed, our client manager can help you draft questions in advance for the lawyer.
